School Cultural Fund – Sellindge Primary

Sellindge Primary School spent some of their School Cultural Fund on French Skipping workshops.

21st June 2010

Dan Strange from Skipping Workshops lead the whole school (109 pupils and 12 staff) in a series of French Skipping workshops, culminating in a performance for parents and fellow pupils. The school will also be spending their School Cultural Fund on holding Djembe Drumming workshops and taking part in the local Charivari Carnival.

‘The workshops have boosted enjoyment in skipping and improved health, wellbeing and concentration throughout the school. In some classes, especially with groups of girls it has improved social development. The project has also improved links with parents by bringing them into the school’ – Helen Baxter, Headteacher.
