1st October 2009 - 29th December 2010

Find Your Talent North Somerset has created five cultural hubs to improve, expand and enrich the cultural offer to children and young people in North Somerset.

The hubs comprise national, regional organisations and locally based practitioners who will work with children and young people in partnership with schools and youth settings and local cultural resources to develop exciting and innovative creative projects.

The Royal Shakespeare Company, National Portrait Gallery, National Trust, London College of Fashion, Rambert Dance Company, and the Welsh National Opera are just some of the national cultural organisations signed up.

Regional partners include; Arnolfini, Bristol City Museum, Bristol Old Vic Theatre, Champloo Dance, Curzon Cinema, Clevedon, First Born Creatives, Kompany Malakhi, South West Screen, The Egg, Theatre Orchard Project, Venue, and the Watershed.

Each hub will contain a theatre company, a dance company and a media unit, as well as visual artists, designers, writers and poets.

Other exciting projects include the creation of a youth culture magazine supported by Bristol and Bath Venue magazine, and a 6th hub comprising Primary Schools will concentrate on built design and supporting the Primary Capital Programme.

The aim of the hubs will be to create a dynamic cultural offer to children and young people in response to locality needs and issues.

To develop stronger and sustainable relationships between children and young people, arts organisations, and cultural practitioners.
