Talented Tyneside Showcase

Find Your Talent North and South Tyneside’s first big sharing event

27th April 2010

Hosted by the Find Your Talent Youth Forum, Talented Tyneside was FYT’s first sharing event for North and South Tyneside.

Showcasing work from projects across North and South Tyneside, the event featured performances from Custom Breaks (The Customs House resident b-boy/girl group), as well as the premiere of The Customs House Youth Theatre’s “A Night Less Ordinary” promotional film.

Films from school and community based projects were also screened including the film produced during the “Just Imagine Burradon” heritage project, voiced by Robson Green.

Norham Community Technology School presented their boys’ drama and dance fusion performance to great applause, and there was a selection of exciting musical performances from the wonderful Marden High School choir and East Bolden Juniors’ ukeles -  who not only did their own number but also took to the stage with the Customs House Uke group for a rendition of ‘Three little birds’!

The showcase offered some participants the chance to complete parts of their Bronze and in one case Silver Arts Award.
