Members of the group have been recruited into exhibition roles such as Project Manager, Administration Assistant and Exhibition Content Assistant. The exhibition tells the story of the two people who live in the cells and compares how crimes and punishments have changed since 1871. The project team have had sole responsibility for the exhibition from researching the Museum’s collections to designing the layout of the exhibition and marketing the exhibition. This project aims to give young people who are not in education, employment or training, real job skills that they can use in their next step.
A group of young people from the Genesis Entry to Employment Project are creating an exhibition called ‘Cell by Date’, which will be on display at Bolton Museum, Aquarium and Archive from Friday 29 January to 13 March 2010.
